Do I need a boating licence?
No, boats up to 40hp require no licence. More powerful boats in the fleet require a boating licence within 12 miles.
How does payment work?
Online you only pay the deposit via PayPal. The balance is paid online to the company running the service, as soon as the harbour confirms availability: that payment confirms the booking.
What happens if the sea is rough?
Whether the sea allows boats out is decided by the Harbour Master’s Office: if it suspends departures, you choose between a full refund of the deposit and a new date. If you cancel yourself: more than 15 days before, full refund of the deposit or a free date change; between 15 and 7 days before, half the deposit back or a free date change; under 7 days, a free date change and, if none can be found, the deposit becomes a voucher valid for 12 months.
What's the difference between rental, excursion and boat cruise?
With rental you drive the boat yourself. With an excursion, a skipper guides a small boat. On the boat cruise, you board a larger, more comfortable motor cruiser with audio guide.
