On the Baunei side, south of Cala Gonone, the coast's two best-known coves can also be reached on foot, coming down from the Golgo plateau.
From su Porteddu, on the Golgo plateau, you descend for about an hour and a half to the beach. The way down is easy, but the return climbs about 500 metres: avoid the hottest hours. The bay lies beneath the rock needle, a natural monument and a symbol of the coast.
From Golgo the path passes the church of San Pietro and climbs to punta 'e Lattone before dropping to the sea. It is about six hours there and back and much harder than the route to Goloritzè: a guide is advised.
