Studio: Beckmann Visual Publishing Certificate: BBFC E Description: A stylish Travel DVD and full colour Pocket Guide by ex-BBC Education director, Lola Cary. Perfect for armchair research or as a travel companion. BBC Language presenters Elisabetta Riva and Ernesto Tomasini (Talk Italian and Make Italian Your Business) show what Italy's most desirable but least known island has to offer. The focus is on northern Sardinia which is widely regarded as the greenest, most attractive and unspoilt area of the island, if not Italy. Unlike most travel programmes the DVD is not driven by the presenters' personalities but by local expertise. The presenters hear from islanders who share inside knowledge on history, culture and cuisine and reveal the most rewarding things to see and do whilst on holiday. The 60-page Pocket Guide complements the DVD, giving details of all the places it features plus further recommendations and a concise road map. This well-illustrated, well-researched Guide has all the necessary information for travellers to plan and arrange their trip. Both the DVD and the Pocket Guide are divided into five easy-to-navigate chapters: Guided Tour Places to Stay Food & Drink Sports & Leisure History, Art & Culture Aimed at DIY travellers who are unimpressed by package holidays and want to organise their own holiday experience, UNPACKAGED SARDINIA will show that they do not have to travel to a remote corner of the world to find an unusual and authentic destination Missing Information?
